What is Event by Wire?

Event by Wire is a turn key solution for broadcasting events live over the Internet.  Our portable system can be set up with minimal effort in less than three minutes allowing you to share any event with anyone.

Do I need training to use Event by Wire?

Not at all.  If you have used a computer before you're good to go.

What do I need?

All you need is an Internet connection and electricity.

What kind of Internet connection do I need?

Any broadband connection (DSL or cable) should be fine.

How often can I broadcast?

For a nominal fee you can broadcast as many times as you like.

Can I use this for video conferencing?

Event by Wire provides a one-way video only.  Video conferencing normally means two-way communication with multiple participants.  Unfortunately, due to limitations called bandwidth and latency, very few video conferencing solutions work well over the Internet.  Even those that do exist are restricted to just a few participants.  Because Event by Wire is a one-way broadcast it can scale to accommodate hundreds of viewers.

What do I need to view an event remotely?

Any Windows based computer with a broadband Internet connection.

Can I view copies of the events after they are broadcast?

Absolutely.  All broadcasts are archived and kept on our servers for as long as you like.  Each customer also receives a generous amount of storage with their plan.  If over time you decide to keep many archives and exceed your storage limit, a small monthly fee will apply.
