Options for Scheduling a Broadcast

Each new broadcast must first be scheduled to allow the system to configure the necessary parameters for each event. These parameters include templates, dates and times, details and passwords.

Date of Event:

Specifying the date is mandatory for scheduling a broadcast. This information is included in the broadcasts notification email and will provide the correct date for your viewers.

Time of Event:

Specifying the time is mandatory for scheduling a broadcast. This information is included in the broadcasts notification email and will provide the correct time for your viewers.

Event Title:

Add a title to your broadcast indicating the name or type of your event. Titles will be added to both your notification email and the viewing webpage.

Event Description:

You can add a description of the event in this field. Any text added in this field is also included in the notification email and the viewing webpage.

Event Details:

You can add additional information with the Description option. Any text added in this field is also included in the notification email and the viewing webpage.

Broadcast Quality:

If you have signed up for the enhanced level of service you can broadcast with higher video quality and a larger video window for your viewers. Select “Medium Window” for the standard size and quality, and “Large Window” for the enhanced size and quality.

Medium window quality displays only the medium sized window to your viewers. Large window quality will display the large window by default but will automatically shrink to the medium window for viewers with lower bandwidth speeds. The Medium window requires bandwidth UPLOAD speeds of 100 kilobits per second (kps) for the Broadcaster and 100kps DOWNLOAD for your viewers. The Large window requires 300kps upload for the Broadcaster and 200kps download for viewers.

Viewing Page (Theme):

When scheduling a broadcast you are provided a pull down box with predefined templates. These templates allow you to customize the webpage which is generated for your viewers. Templates can be chosen for a variety of themes. If a specific template is not chosen the viewing webpage will use the business template by default.

Notification:

Once you have scheduled your broadcast you will immediately receive an email notification with the details needed for viewing the event. This email can be forwarded to those people whom you would like to view the event at the designated time.
