What's Happening.....
In the last few weeks we have had more and more customers dusting-off their Event by Wire Professional Broadcasting System and conduct webcasts. Families are asking for memorial webcasting service! And, EBW is getting calls to help get things going again!
This is a great sign of the evolving awareness in your communities. Let's help your families connect those friends and family members that cannot attend a service you provide!
However...webcasting with the EBW Professional Portable System is not like riding a bicycle. The process requires re-training most of the time. When things didn't work for some of our customers, about 50% of the time, the funeral home network was down, 40% of the time, the operator needed training, and 10% of the time, the equipment needed adjustment.
When you log onto your Account, we have videos that take you Step-by-Step through every process required for a successful memorial webcast. We are also available for telephone support and if you have a newer syste, we can log into the EBW Laptop and make adjustments online.
Take care of your EBW System. We have a repair or replacement guarantee and when we see the equipment for repair or replacement, 90% of the time we find that the equipment received some level of neglect. Take care of the equipment, and it will take of you when needed!

That is The Question??? Or is it?
Are you a Funeral, Cremation, Cemetery, or Mortuary owner/professional wondering whether to provide this service for your community or not? Or..., do you already provide this service and not sure whether it is worth it to your bottom line?
The question should be...what is the percentage of my families served that have family and friends that would love to come to a service but can't because
1. They live to far away...?
2. They can't afford the travel expense...?
3. They are in poor health...?
4. They have work committments...?
5. They have other committments that prevent travel...?
Today in 2012, 99.99% of all families in America, maybe the world, have at least 1 friend or family member of the deceased that cannot attend the funeral or memorial service! At least 1! And, if they could, the family would love to include those family members and friends that cannot attend for any of the above 5 reasons.
Event Tecnologies Worldwide's Event by Wire webcasting service has helped over 250,000 people to view a funeral or memorial service "virtually" on the internet when they could not have otherwise attended. This is a huge number! People want this Service. People deserve to have it available. Why not be the one providing this for your community? Why not learn how to offer this effectively to your community?
Regardless whether you are a customer of ours or not, funeral/memorial webcasting is growing in awareness and with that comes demand. Be ready to provide this service. Be ready to and effectively present webcasting as a solution to your families in need.
Tip: When presenting, get them thinking about the family and friends that cannot attend before they know you have the solution. Let them express the names to you; get them emotionally tied. Then, offer the solution. You will gain more services and they will thank you! and Prosperity!

The National Sales Tour is Over... Huge Success!
We gained many new customers and were able to visit with clients experienced in using EBW webcasting systems.
9 times out of 10, system failures are caused by user error. We have training online to help prevent user error. However, sometimes if it isn't a network issue, it can be equipment failure. Not software, but the equipment. We will indeed repair or replace if you have a lease with EBW.
And.......sometimes it isn't the equipment's fault that it broke/failed. Sometimes it is because the equipment (camera, wires, network cards, laptops) were stowed away improperly or located in an area that was prone to inadvertant tampering, bumping etc.
Event by Wire systems are durable but do require that they are properly maintained: treated with care when configuring and putting away, cleaned, and for the fixed system, configured in a secure place and left configured. One of a clients has purchased a Laptop Wall Safe for the fixed Chapel Webcasting System which allows the system to remain configures and all peripherals stowed inside. Works great! Here is a photo with a link to the company. You can find it on many online retail stores by listing the model name in a search.

Yes, we do have Event by Wire customers gaining more webcast services and rarely having an issue. Over 30,000 successful broadcasts to-date and well over 250,000 unique viewers all around the world have been included “virtually” to the service of a loved one when they could not physically attend.
Today, in this post I share what it takes for success defined as: more funeral webcasts and 99% reliability in delivery. If you are an EBW customer, you have in your back office videos that cover the “How To” for gaining more services and performing without failure.
Easy as 1 2 3!
Step 1: Use Every Marketing Advantage Possible! At your disposal are Posters for the arrangement room, Brochures for placement where ever it makes sense in your facility, videos of a memorial service and Video Tribute for looping on a monitor in the arrangement room and/or entrance to your facility. Video is particularly powerful for generating interest before ever offering webcasting as a service.
Step 2: Have a Practiced Presentation that Works! We provide a script and video training on a proven presentation for memorial webcasting. Find it in your back office and also if you like, schedule online personal training! For now, here is the “crux” of this biscuit: Get your family members thinking about the people they care about that cannot attend the service before offering the webcasting solution! Just ask them who is that cannot attend because:
* They live too far away…
* They cannot afford the airfare or travel costs…
* They are in poor health…
* They have work commitments
* Or, they have other commitments that prevent attending the service…
Your families will give you names of those people that cannot attend and then is when you offer the service! Tie them emotionally to the people they care about then offer the solution. Make this rehearsed presentation to every family you serve and you will get more families benefitting with a memorial webcast!
Step 3: Know How to Use the EBW Software and Configured Hardware! Again, all this training is in your back office. The main points here are:
* Make sure you have plenty of bandwidth in your internet service and…try to also make sure that when you broadcast, employees are not uploading or downloading anything and that the broadcast has undisturbed priority! The biggest complaint we receive is a break in the streaming video during the service. When the network goes down or there is an interruption, we cannot help that. What we have done is created a SW program that as long as you continue broadcasting, your service gets recorded on the hard drive and automatically archive when the network is back online. If you do not have this SW, please contact us for an upgrade. You also have a digital tape as back-up when you use the EBW Professional Portable system.
* Learn How to Use The Software and Hardware! Study the online video training and ask for personal training when needed.
* Practice and Test Before a Broadcast! Practice using the system(s) and conduct a test broadcast before providing an actual service. We suggest you test the day before giving you time to contact us for any issues and also prior to the scheduled broadcast….on the day of the service. Do this and you will indeed, virtually eliminate failure.
More detailed information is coming this week to all our valued customers! Watch your emails!
As always, our lines are open to anser questions, support and training!

Nothing happens in business until there is a sale! And, without marketing, its tough to get to sales
!
Event by Wire is passionate about connecting funeral services live or archived for those family members and friends that cannot attend. And....we are very passionate about seeing our client funeral homes succeed in this regard. So....we are adding a web page with downloadable marketing material ready to add your logo and take to the printer! We'll have it ready this February.
Login into your account and get a Funeral Webcasting Brochure; Arrangement Room Marketing Poster, or even an example Press Release!
Connecting families and friends via EBW webcasting is a positive thing to do. Each day it seems we get thank-you emails from people all over the country and world! We will keep providing the kind of support you need to add this tremendous value to your funeral home services. It is our mission and purpose!
On another note...The Event by Wire Mobile Showroom is in Texas! We have been signing-up some great new clients and also getting some fishing in. Trout fishing in Texas! That's right. The Guadalupe River has trout. The river was stocked years ago and though the stocking continues, the trout are bringing forth natural grown Texas Rainbows now!
We floated the river for almost three miles on my birthday and had a blast. And, the barbecue is the best. I was stationed in Texas while in the Army years ago and always look forward to visiting. This State and the people that make it great always provides a warm experience. We'll be here for another week or so and then on to another warm State! The Mobile Showroom does not do well in cold weather.
Thoughts for today:
Infinite patience brings calmness...
Negativity doesn't help anything or anyone...
Kindness has no bad repercussions...so be kind!
